University of Maryland Educational Opportunity Center (UM-EOC)
Established in 1998, the UM-EOC is a federally funded community-based program providing free college and career counseling & advising services and assistance to low-income, first generation adult and young adult residents of Prince George's County who desire to continue their education beyond high school.
Services are available to persons 19 years of age or older, and to a limited number of high school seniors.
Eligible participants recieve assistance in applying for admissions to 2-year, 4-year, and career/technical schools; applying for financial aid, enrolling in GED progams or English Language classes, and referrals to other community resources and agencies.
